Marvel Rivals Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy, Gorr and Every Date

Sukie GaoBy Sukie GaoUpdated

Marvel Rivals Season 10, "Butcher's Blasphemy," runs from September 11, 2026 to November 13, 2026, and it added exactly one hero: Gorr the God Butcher, a Duelist and the 54th character on the roster. There was no second hero this season. The season is split in two halves, Season 10.0 from September 11 to October 9 and Season 10.5 from October 9 to November 13, and the wiki's season countdown ends at 09:00 UTC on November 13.

Those few lines answer most of what people search for. The rest of this page is the detail behind them: what Gorr's kit actually does, the God Quarry map that arrived on September 24, the 12-page Godbomb BattlePass, the Scarlet Witch rework, every dated event the wiki lists for the season, and the two Path to Doomsday modes attached to 10.5. Every date, price and ability name below comes from the Marvel Rivals Wiki (season page, hero page, event pages and the archived patch notes), re-read on October 21, 2026 (the Avengers: Endgame dates on October 22, from the official patch notes); the 10.5 balance numbers were also checked against the official balance post on marvelrivals.com. Where the wiki has not documented something yet, this page says so instead of filling the gap.

At a Glance

Name: Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy. The wiki counts it as the eleventh season of Marvel Rivals, because the count starts at Season 0.

Dates: September 11, 2026 to November 13, 2026. Season 10.0 covered September 11 to October 9; Season 10.5 covers October 9 to November 13.

New hero: Gorr the God Butcher (Duelist, 54th hero), released with 10.0. New map: God Quarry (Domination), added September 24. Hero rework: Scarlet Witch. BattlePass: The Godbomb, 12 pages, 990 Lattice for the Luxury version. Season event: The Tetrameron, running the full season. 10.5 modes: Path to Doomsday - Avengers: Infinity War and Path to Doomsday - Avengers: Endgame.

The previous season was Season 9: The Mystery of Thebes, which ended the day this one started. If you want the hero and patch picture from just before Gorr, the marvel rivals season 9 5 page covers The Hood's arrival and the August balance pass.

Gorr, Hero 54

Gorr is the season. The Marvel Rivals Wiki lists him as a Duelist and the 54th hero introduced to the game, released with Season 10.0 on September 11, 2026. He is also the season's central villain; before he became playable he was already a looming antagonist in Season 9: The Mystery of Thebes. The wiki's hero infobox gives him 175 health plus a 175 Regenerative Shield, a difficulty rating of 4, and Beau Marie as his voice actor. He is the fifth playable villain after Hela, Loki, Ultron and The Hood.

His kit, as the wiki summarises it, revolves around Black Berserkers, the symbiote soldiers he spawns:

- Symbiote Swarm (passive): every final blow Gorr lands spawns a Black Berserker, and Gorr gains bonus health whenever berserkers deal damage. - All-Black (primary fire): quick melee strikes with relatively long reach. - Necro-Power (secondary fire): a skillshot that slows on hit, summons a berserker at the target and pulls nearby berserkers to it; they then launch the target into the air. The wiki calls this his usual fight opener. - Living Abyss: Gorr becomes a symbiote mass, immune to damage, surging forward and leaving a berserker behind. Active berserkers frenzy for an attack-speed boost, and when it ends Gorr creates a Necroverse that damages enemies around him and feeds him bonus health. - Black Berserker: two charges; lobs a projectile that spawns a berserker where it lands. - Shadow Harvest: teleport to a nearby berserker and sacrifice it for bonus health, dealing small percentage damage nearby. Coming out of it, he can fire Berserker Blast, a piercing shockwave, which turns his primary into Shadow Scythe for 4 seconds with up to four charges. - Twilight of the Gods (Ultimate): summons a berserker for every nearby enemy, keeps berserkers frenzied, and replaces All-Black with the Annihilablade, which deals percentage damage.

The wiki is just as clear about his weak points. Committing to a fight while Living Abyss is on cooldown is risky. Earthbound effects such as The Thing's Yancy Street Charge end Living Abyss early. He depends on cycling Shadow Harvest to unlock Shadow Scythe, and the berserkers themselves hit softly and die easily. He has two team-ups: Ragnarök with Hela and Hive Mind with Venom.

On this site's own data, Gorr is tagged Hard difficulty and A tier. Both are community consensus, not measurement; the full ranking with the reasoning lives on the marvel rivals tier list page.

The Second Hero Question

Short answer: there is no second hero in Season 10. The season page's trivia states that this was the first season in which only a single hero was released, and Gorr's own page says his solo arrival let NetEase prioritise the Path to Doomsday event modes, Infinity War and Endgame, for the second half of the season.

The wiki adds two pieces of background. When Season 10 was first conceived, Gorr was planned as the last character of 2026, with the season after it originally meant to ship no heroes at all; that plan was later dropped. And before the one-hero season was confirmed, players heavily speculated that Nightcrawler would be the second Season 10 hero, partly because of his thematic opposition to Gorr on the question of faith. That was player speculation and nothing more. Nightcrawler did not release in Season 10, and this page makes no prediction about when or whether he will.

If you landed here from "who is the second hero in Marvel Rivals Season 10," the practical consequence is simple: the roster stays at 54 for the whole season. The new marvel rivals characters page tracks the most recent additions and will change the day a new hero is actually confirmed.

Scarlet Witch Rework

Scarlet Witch received a rework to her moveset at the start of the season. The September 11 patch notes, as archived on the wiki, describe it only as a completed rework of her abilities and gameplay "to better channel her hex-casting might" and send players to the official website for the full breakdown. A week later, the September 17 patch "significantly reduced the probability" of her being immune to incoming damage during the wind-up of her ultimate, Reality Erasure. The 10.5 patch on October 9 then trimmed her slightly: Chthonian Burst's single-shot spell field damage dropped from 40 to 35. If you last played her in Season 9, treat her as a new hero in practice and re-learn her in Practice vs. AI before taking her into ranked.

God Quarry

God Quarry is the season's new map, a Domination map released on September 24, 2026, in the middle of Season 10.0 rather than at launch. Its patch notes describe Omnipotence City twisted into a roving citadel and crashed into the Cradle of Creation, the place where the Godbomb is meant to go off. The loading-screen lore has Gorr holding the captured gods, Thor among them, while Spider-Zero opens a portal through Knowhere so the heroes can reach him.

The wiki lists three mission areas:

- Confessional Eternity: ominous rooms and structures carved from stone, with a statue of Eternity near the capture point. - Halls of All-Knowing: ruins of classical libraries. - House of Ideas: a modern interior full of statues and collector's items, including framed real Marvel comic panels and covers.

The listed map feature is damage-responsive, reconfigurable constructs and platforms. One of the map's achievements, Form, Function, Fate, asks you to destroy a platform to change its form; the wiki notes those platforms show red under Chrono Vision. Two other achievements tie the match result to the story: winning as Team A shows Gorr detonating the Godbomb, and winning as Team B shows Thor sacrificing himself to absorb the blast.

For the first few days the map had its own playlist. The September 24 patch added a limited-time Quick Match mode for God Quarry only, running from September 24 at 09:00 UTC to September 29 at 08:59 UTC.

The Godbomb BattlePass

The Godbomb is Season 10's BattlePass, running September 11 to November 13 and 12 pages long. There are two paid options. The Luxury BattlePass costs 990 Lattice and is required for any reward carrying the Luxury tag. The Upgraded Luxury BattlePass costs 2,100 Lattice and adds 2,800 Chrono Tokens immediately plus a season-long 20% boost to Chrono Tokens earned.

The wiki lists ten costumes: Captain America - Astral Aegis, White Fox - Cosmic Kumiho, Psylocke - Business Elite, Loki - The Chronicler, Doctor Strange - Astral Arcana, Squirrel Girl - Savage Squirrel, Groot - Grootlactus, Blade - Silvered Slayer, Hawkeye - Thunderbolts and The Punisher - Vengeful Vigilante. Grootlactus and Hawkeye's Thunderbolts are the two costumes without the Luxury lock. Gorr does not get a costume in the pass, but he does get a nameplate and a spray, both called Gorr the God Butcher.

An older pass also came back at the start of the season. The Season 4 BattlePass, Fruit of Immortality, was on sale again from September 11 to September 24, 2026, at 1,190 Lattice, a higher price than when it first ran.

Season 10 Timeline

September 11, 2026. Season 10.0 launches at 09:00 UTC with an estimated two hours of maintenance. October 24, 2026. The Endgame mode itself starts (UTC) and runs for 4 consecutive weeks, open only in limited sessions each week; the official post lists three that day: 01:00 to 03:00, 10:00 to 12:00 and 18:00 to 20:00 UTC.

November 13, 2026. The season countdown ends at 09:00 UTC. The Tetrameron, Chrono-Rush, Galacta's Gift Vol.3, All Hallows' Glow and The Godbomb all close with it.

November 26, 2026. The Avengers: Endgame event period ends at 09:00 UTC, per the official patch notes.

December 10 to 11, 2026. Infinity War, as an event mode, outlasts the season and runs until December 11 at 09:00 UTC. The Infinity Finale event pass ends at about the same time: the October 9 patch notes give December 10, the wiki's event page December 11.

Path to Doomsday Modes

The second half of Season 10 is built around Path to Doomsday, a multi-season event the wiki describes as building up to Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday film in December 2026. Phases 1 and 2 ran in Seasons 7 and 9. Phases 3 and 4 belong to 10.5.

Avengers: Infinity War (October 9 to December 11, 2026). Twelve players form six duo squads. Each round, squads are paired off on separate battlefields and the loser of each duel loses Link Value, which works as the squad's health; at zero the squad is eliminated and its Infinity Stones pass to the squad that beat it. The last squad standing holds all six stones and wins. With an odd number of surviving squads, one gets a bye for the round.

Only 13 heroes are playable: Captain America, Doctor Strange, Groot and Thor as Vanguards; Black Panther, Black Widow, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Winter Soldier as Duelists; and Mantis and Rocket Raccoon as Strategists. No duplicate heroes are allowed within a squad, team-up abilities are switched off, and several kits are altered. For example, Rocket's B.R.B. no longer revives and instead pulses damage, and Mantis heals with Bonus Health instead.

Every squad starts with one randomly assigned Infinity Stone. The stones' base effects unlock from Round 4 and their enhanced effects from Round 7. Before each round, players pick enhancement cards: Prismatic, Advanced, Common and Universal. The combat phase lasts one minute before Overtime starts draining health. The mode uses a new map, Jungle of Wakanda.

Avengers: Endgame (October 22 to November 26, 2026). The official Version 20261022 patch notes set the event period as October 22, 2026, 09:00 UTC to November 26, 2026, 09:00 UTC, with Captain America's Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume as a free reward. The mode opens on October 24 (UTC) and runs for 4 consecutive weeks, but only during limited sessions each week; the official post lists three on October 24: 01:00 to 03:00, 10:00 to 12:00 and 18:00 to 20:00 UTC. The official notes set up its story: Thanos from the past has breached the timeline, leading his forces to tear the cosmos apart and forge it anew, and with the restored timeline hanging in the balance, the heroes have no choice but to fight. The mode's wiki page quotes the official description: players assemble in the ruins of the Avengers Compound "alongside fifty heroes to face Thanos and his overwhelming army head-on" in what it calls a "massive new PvE mode." Neither the patch notes nor the wiki document its rules yet, so they are not described here. The same patch added a Times Square - Avengers: Endgame event over the same dates (two minutes of the highlights screening unlocks the Gallery Card - Avengers: Endgame, and a group photo with the NPCs outside the Avengers' Gift Shop earns 100 Units); the full patch is summarised on marvel rivals patch notes.

The wiki's Path to Doomsday page also explains why both modes landed in one half-season. After the Phase 1 mode, The Avengers, was poorly received for its simplicity, the schedule was adjusted, and Infinity War and Endgame were released within 10.5, which the wiki says disrupted the usual one-hero-a-month cadence.

Events and Extras

The Tetrameron (September 11 to November 13) is the season event. It has four "Days" of missions, each split into Day and Night subsections of three missions. The first four mission sets open together and a new set unlocks every 24 hours; rewards include cosmetics, gallery cards and currency. The mission verses come from "One for Sorrow," the old English magpie rhyme.

Chrono-Rush (September 11 to November 13) raises Chrono Token earnings from Weekly Missions, Challenges and Season Missions every Friday to Sunday until the season ends.

Jeff's Superstar Search (September 17 to October 9) had players follow a daily clue to hidden stars in Times Square or Hellfire Bay Beach, or win three matches instead, with free rewards at 4, 7 and 10 stars.

Jeff's Dream Eater (September 17 to October 15) was an event pass with a 990 Lattice Premium tier. Venom - President Ozzy was the free costume; Jeff the Land Shark - Shark in Sheep's Clothing and Rogue - Slumber Sugah were Premium.

Pop & Win Vol.4 (September 17 to October 16) is a lucky draw for Jubilee - Vampy Jammies and Magneto - Master of Slumber, with the wiki listing items at between 100 and 2,400 Units each.

Galacta's Gift Vol.3 (September 24 to November 13) has daily missions (complete three matches; the next unlocks 15 hours after you finish one) and brings back Costume Coins for the Exchange Store.

All Hallows' Glow (October 15 to November 13) is the Halloween-window event pass, also 990 Lattice for Premium. Every 2,000 XP earns a Ghost Ember for the free track and a Witch Ember for the premium track, and each ember lights a lantern that grants a random reward. The full reward list, the lantern mechanics and how this year compares with Halloween 2025 are on marvel rivals halloween event.

Infinity Finale (October 9 to December 11 by the wiki; the patch notes say December 10) is Season 10.5's season event, an event pass with a 790 Lattice Premium tier. Thor - The Avengers is free; Black Panther and Doctor Strange each have an Avengers: Infinity War costume on the Premium track. Levels take 1,800 XP each.

Pop & Win Vol.5 (October 2 to October 30) is the second lucky draw of the season, for Luna Snow - Lunar Luna and Phoenix - Cosmic Spark. The wiki lists both costumes with their cosmetics at between 150 and 3,600 Units.

Ranked rewards. The Gold-tier costume for Season 10.0 is Gorr - Gods' Graveyard; for Season 10.5 it is Jeff the Land Shark - Razor-Tooth.

College Student Perks. Students who register a school email can trial 10 costumes and their MVPs each season. The Season 10 set is Iron Man - Extrembiote Armor, Hela - The Grim Lady, Angela - Skuld 2099, Emma Frost - Queen of Diamonds, Deadpool - Captain Pool, Magneto - Seat of Autumn, Psylocke - Once-Captive Corsair, Elsa Bloodstone - Young Blood, Human Torch - Jack of Hearts and Angela - Ace of Spades.

The 10.5 Balance Patch

The October 9 update was the season's main balance pass, and Gorr was one of the heroes toned down. Per the official 10.5 balance post (published October 6 and archived with the October 9 patch notes on the wiki): Shadow Scythe went from 55 + 2% of the target's maximum health to 50 + 2%; the shockwave dropped from 60 to 55 damage; Twilight of the Gods shortened from 12 seconds to 10; and Living Abyss got a shorter cooldown, 15 seconds down to 12, while its movement speed fell from 13 m/s to 10 m/s. The same patch added a Custom Targeting Sensitivity setting for Shadow Harvest.

The headline elsewhere was Iron Man. His Micro-Missile Barrage missiles now track nearby enemies, with single-shot damage cut from 20 to 10, projectile speed raised from 15 m/s to 60 m/s, and a cap of five lock-ons per target. Phoenix's Cosmic Flames went from 60 to 65 damage, and her Spark self-heal was swapped for a small Bonus Health effect. Jubilee gained 25/s self-healing during Sparking Sprint and stronger ultimate healing, from 150/s to 180/s. Devil Dinosaur's base health fell from 850 to 825. Hulk, Magneto, The Thing, Cyclops, Hawkeye, Adam Warlock and Gambit received smaller changes, several of them only when a specific Team-Up is selected.

Our read, not a measurement: Gorr's burst and ultimate window came down a notch while his engage tool got more available, and Iron Man's change is more about how he plays than how strong he is. The Duelist-specific view is on marvel rivals duelist tier list.

Roster and Tools

The roster for the whole season is 54 heroes: 14 Vanguards, 27 Duelists, 12 Strategists, and Deadpool, who counts as multi-role. Gorr is the only change from Season 9.5. The full list grouped by role is on marvel rivals roster, including the two role assignments people most often get wrong: Rogue is a Vanguard and Gambit is a Strategist.

Our randomizers already include Gorr. If you want to see him come up in rotation, or force yourself onto the reworked Scarlet Witch, the marvel rivals hero randomizer lets you filter by role and exclude heroes you do not own or do not want yet. That matters more than usual in Infinity War, where only 13 heroes are allowed and no squad can field duplicates, so a filtered roll is the quickest way to settle who plays what.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the second hero in Marvel Rivals Season 10?

There isn't one. Per the Marvel Rivals Wiki, Season 10 is the first season in which only one hero was released, and that hero was Gorr the God Butcher (Duelist, 54th). The second half of the season, 10.5, went to the Path to Doomsday modes instead. Players had speculated that Nightcrawler would be the second hero, but that was speculation and it did not happen.

When does Marvel Rivals Season 10 end?

The wiki's season countdown ends on November 13, 2026 at 09:00 UTC. The Godbomb BattlePass, The Tetrameron, Chrono-Rush, Galacta's Gift Vol.3 and All Hallows' Glow all close then. The Path to Doomsday modes are the exceptions: the Avengers: Endgame event runs until November 26, 2026 (official Version 20261022 patch notes), and Avengers: Infinity War until December 11, 2026.
