Marvel Rivals Halloween Event: All Hallows' Glow and Past Halloweens

Sukie GaoBy Sukie GaoUpdated

The Marvel Rivals Halloween event live right now is All Hallows' Glow, an Event Pass that runs from October 15 to November 13, 2026, during Season 10.5. It has a free track and a Premium track that costs 990 Lattice, and instead of a level bar you earn embers from playing matches and spend them to light lanterns that hand out a random reward from a prize pool. The headline cosmetics are a Legendary Chaos Weaver costume for Scarlet Witch and an Epic The Redeemed costume for Hela on the Premium side, plus a free Epic Trash King costume for Rocket Raccoon.

That is the short answer. The longer one matters because Marvel Rivals has now done Halloween twice, and the two years look quite different. Last October the spooky season arrived as Voyage to Astonish, a board-game style event built around Halloween and the Day of the Dead, alongside the first PvE mode the game ever ran and a store bundle that put Jeff the Land Shark inside a pair of carved pumpkins.

This page covers the current event first, then everything the wiki records about Halloween 2025, then a side-by-side of the two. Every name, date and price here comes from the official October 15 patch notes, the event's own rules screen as captured on the Marvel Rivals Wiki, or the wiki's event and costume pages, re-read on October 21, 2026. Where none of them documents something, this page says so rather than guessing.

What Is All Hallows' Glow?

All Hallows' Glow is an Event Pass, which in Marvel Rivals means a limited-time reward track separate from the season's main BattlePass. Per the Marvel Rivals Wiki (read October 2026), it launched on October 15, 2026 and ends on November 13, 2026, with the wiki's countdown pointing at 09:00 UTC on that final day. It sits inside Season 10.5 of Season 10, "Butcher's Blasphemy".

There are two tiers. The Free tier has rewards you can claim without paying anything. The Premium tier costs 990 Lattice and includes every reward in the event. The event's in-game rules screen adds a detail that is easy to miss: after you buy Premium, the event stays available to you until all rewards are claimed, so a Premium owner is not racing the November 13 deadline the way a free player is.

It is worth being clear about what kind of event this is, because the word "glow" and the lantern artwork invite the wrong assumption. It is not a separate game mode. Nothing about how matches play changes. The rules screen says to play matches to gain XP, and the event converts that XP into its own currencies. The official patch notes phrase it as completing event missions, and the wiki's summary mentions both playing and missions, so check the event screen for any mission list alongside the XP bar. If you are looking for a limited-time mode this autumn, that is a different event running in the same half-season, covered further down.

On the wiki's event timeline, All Hallows' Glow follows Infinity Finale, another Event Pass that began on October 9, and is followed by a Lucky Draw event the wiki lists as Pop & Win Vol.6. That is the Halloween Pop & Win refresh described in the official October 15 patch notes, covered at the end of this guide.

Embers and Lanterns: How Progress Actually Works

The progression system is the most unusual part of this year's event, and it is simple once you see it laid out.

Step one: earn XP. You play matches to earn Experience. The wiki states it takes 2,000 XP to earn one ember of each type, and the event screen's Match XP bar counts to 2,000. The rules screen adds that there is an XP cap: once you hit it, you can no longer earn embers from matches.

Step two: collect embers. Every 2,000 XP gives you 1 Ghost Ember and 1 Witch Ember at the same time. Ghost Embers belong to the free rewards. Witch Embers belong to the Premium rewards. Witch Embers only unlock Premium rewards, but the rules screen says plainly that you can still accumulate them before purchasing Premium, so any you bank are waiting if you upgrade later.

Step three: light lanterns. You spend an ember to light a lantern of the matching type. Each track progresses independently, and when a lantern is lit, a reward is granted at random from that track's prize pool. In other words, you choose to light a lantern, but you do not choose which cosmetic comes out of it. If you hold both ember types, a draw triggers on both pools at once; if you only hold one, only that pool is drawn.

That randomness is bounded, and the rules screen spells out how. Each prize pool has two rounds. Every item in a round has an equal drop chance, you never pull a duplicate within a round, and the pool only advances to Round 2 once everything in Round 1 is claimed. Counting the wiki's reward table gives a hard range. The free pool has 7 items in Round 1 and 7 in Round 2, and the Trash King costume sits in Round 2, so it takes at least 8 and at most 14 Ghost Embers, which is 16,000 to 28,000 match XP if you earn them all by playing. The Premium pool is also 7 plus 7: The Redeemed is in Round 1 (1 to 7 Witch Embers) and Chaos Weaver is in Round 2 (8 to 14).

You can also buy embers. The rules screen says Lattice buys Ghost Embers and grants an equal number of Witch Embers with them, capped at what you still need to clear the free pool. The screen does not state the Lattice price per ember, and neither does this page.

For comparison, the Infinity Finale pass running at the same time uses the older format: it takes 1,800 XP per level, each level gives one reward, and its Premium tier costs 790 Lattice. So if you are playing through both events at once, the same matches are feeding two different systems with two different thresholds.

Every Reward the Wiki Lists So Far

The wiki's reward template for All Hallows' Glow splits the prize pools into Round 1 and Round 2. Below is everything it names, grouped by whether the wiki tags it Premium. Rarity is as the wiki lists it.

Round 1, Premium: Hela costume The Redeemed (Epic); MVP Hel's Hail (Epic); emote Silent Vow (Rare); nameplate The Redeemed (Rare); spray The Redeemed (Rare); The Redeemed - Emoji Bundle I and Emoji Bundle II (both Epic).

Round 1, free: spray Trash King (Rare); nameplate Rivals' Fright Night (Rare); emote Barrel Roll (Rare); spray Pumpkin Pop (Rare); Trash King - Emoji Bundle (Rare); 100 Unstable Molecules; Jack-o'-Lantern - Emoji Bundle (Rare).

Round 2, Premium: Scarlet Witch costume Chaos Weaver (Legendary); MVP Weaver's Will (Legendary); emote Spindle Spell (Epic); nameplate Chaos Weaver (Epic); spray Chaos Weaver (Rare); Chaos Weaver - Emoji Bundle I and Emoji Bundle II (both Epic).

Round 2, free: nameplate Sorcery Sanctum (Rare); spray Bat-lacta (Rare); nameplate Trash King (Rare); 100 Unstable Molecules; Trash King Mood Bundle (Rare); MVP Canned Coronation (Epic); Rocket Raccoon costume Trash King (Epic).

The three costume pages on the wiki confirm the split. Trash King is listed as an Event Free Reward, while The Redeemed and Chaos Weaver are both Event Premium Rewards. All three costume pages are dated October 15, 2026, and their in-game descriptions are now filled in. Trash King: "A poor creature I found dead on the side of the road, brought back to life through forbidden technology." The Redeemed: "If even the Goddess of Death can be redeemed, then perhaps this twilight of the gods still holds a glimmer of hope." Chaos Weaver: "Mortals call fate fickle, but they never know that every thread runs through our fingers." The wiki files Chaos Weaver under a theme called Fate Witches, which it says draws on the Moirai of Greek mythology with Wanda as Clotho, the Fate who spins the thread of life; Trash King is filed under Midnight Monsters; The Redeemed has no theme listed.

One honest observation: only part of this pool is overtly Halloween. Pumpkin Pop, the Jack-o'-Lantern emoji bundle, Bat-lacta and the Rivals' Fright Night nameplate carry the holiday on their names. The costumes lean more toward witches and monsters in general than pumpkins specifically. Whether that is a plus depends on whether you wanted something you can wear all year.

This Year vs Last Year: All Hallows' Glow Against Voyage to Astonish

Marvel Rivals has now marked Halloween twice, and comparing the two is the quickest way to understand what this year is and is not offering. All facts below come from the wiki's pages for each event.

The format. In 2025, Halloween was Voyage to Astonish, which the wiki classes as a Special Event and describes as celebrating Halloween and the Day of the Dead. You earned Lanterns from missions, shook them to get Candy, and the amount of Candy moved a Spiderling one to four spaces around a board, claiming whatever reward it landed on. In 2026, All Hallows' Glow is an Event Pass: matches give XP, XP gives embers, and embers light lanterns that each hand out one random reward. Both years used randomness to decide the order you get things. Last year the randomness was the dice-like Candy roll; this year it is the lantern draw.

How you earn. Voyage to Astonish leaned on missions. One new mission unlocked per day for the first ten days, each one completable by playing three standard matches or by hitting a target in the Marvel Zombies mode, and each paying two Lanterns. Lanterns could also be bought for 200 Lattice each, and three came with Premium. The wiki adds that because a claimed space could not be landed on twice, 21 Lanterns were needed to collect everything. All Hallows' Glow drops the mission ladder entirely in favour of plain match XP at 2,000 per ember pair.

The price. Voyage to Astonish Premium cost 690 Lattice. All Hallows' Glow Premium costs 990 Lattice. In both years, buying Premium keeps the event open past its end date.

The dates. Voyage to Astonish ran October 23 to November 14, 2025, during Season 4.5. All Hallows' Glow runs October 15 to November 13, 2026, during Season 10.5. This year's event started about a week earlier in the calendar and runs a little longer.

The headline costumes. Last year's event gave Blade the Blade Knight costume free for completing the voyage missions, according to the patch notes, and put Peni Parker's Legendary Floral Frights costume in Premium, with skull face paint, black and orange fabric and flowers in her hair. This year the free costume goes to Rocket Raccoon (Trash King) and the Premium costumes go to Hela and Scarlet Witch.

What surrounded it. This is the biggest difference between the two years of the Marvel Rivals Halloween event. Halloween 2025 came bundled with a brand-new PvE mode and a run of themed store bundles, covered in the next section. Halloween 2026, as far as the wiki and the official notes record it today, is the Event Pass plus a Halloween Pop & Win refresh and two store chromas, sharing Season 10.5 with the Path to Doomsday modes that are themed on the Avengers films rather than the holiday.

The editor's read, labelled as opinion: last year was the bigger Halloween, with more surrounding content; this year's pass is the simpler one to progress, because you never have to check a mission list.

The Rest of Halloween 2025: Jeff O'Lantern, Marvel Zombies and the Store

If you searched for the Halloween event because you remember something specific from last year, it was probably one of these. All dates are from the wiki's event, costume and patch pages.

Jeff O'Lantern. A Legendary costume for Jeff the Land Shark, sold in the store from October 24 to November 21, 2025. The costume alone was listed at 2,000 Units and the full bundle at 2,200 Units. The bundle included the Jeff's Little Trick MVP, the Trick or Treat emote, and a Jeff O'Lantern nameplate and spray. The wiki notes the Trick or Treat emote could not be bought separately. Its in-game description has Jeff wearing "two oversized undersea gourds carved to resemble jack-o'-lanterns". A Jeff O'Lantern Ultimate Ability VFX was sold in the same window.

Phantom Tide. Namor's Legendary costume sat beside Jeff in the same store window, at 2,000 Units for the costume. Its description leans into the Day of the Dead side of the event, with a swordfish skull on his shoulder.

Marvel Zombies. Launched on October 23, 2025 alongside Voyage to Astonish, it was the first PvE mode in Marvel Rivals: up to four players fighting zombie hordes to defeat the Queen of the Dead, playing as Thor, The Punisher, Magik, Blade or Jeff the Land Shark with modified abilities. It was originally set to end on November 14, was extended twice, and finally closed on January 16, 2026. It was not available on PS4.

Smaller pieces. A free Pumpkin Curse emote for all heroes was claimable from October 24 to November 1, 2025. The Galacta's Gift Vol. 2 event from October 30 to November 14, 2025 included a Halloween Commemorative Nameplate among its rewards. The October 30 patch also added store bundles for Iron Man (Big Shot), Scarlet Witch (The Queen Of The Dead) and Spider-Man (Man-Spider).

None of that is purchasable through All Hallows' Glow. Limited-time store items do sometimes return, but the wiki has no announcement of a return for any of them, so treat them as gone unless the store shows otherwise. If you are browsing the whole cast to decide whose cosmetics you care about, the full list is at marvel rivals characters list.

Planning Your Remaining Weeks of Season 10.5

The calendar here is tighter than it looks, because several things end on the same day. Per the wiki's Season 10 page, the season runs from September 11 to November 13, 2026, with Season 10.0 ending and Season 10.5 starting on October 9. All Hallows' Glow ends on November 13. So does the season event, The Tetrameron. That makes the second week of November the crunch point for anyone working on more than one thing.

A few practical notes, mostly common sense once the mechanics are clear.

You do not have to decide on Premium early. The rules screen confirms that Witch Embers build up even before you buy Premium, so a free player who upgrades in November can spend the ones already banked. Buying Premium also keeps the event available to you after November 13 until every reward is claimed, which takes the pressure off. Mind the XP cap, though: embers stop coming from matches once you reach it.

Free players have a hard deadline. If you are not buying Premium, the Trash King costume needs to be out of the pool by November 13. Because it sits in Round 2 and Round 2 only opens after all 7 Round 1 items are drawn, budget for 8 to 14 Ghost Embers, which is 16,000 to 28,000 match XP.

Which modes count is not spelled out. The rules screen says "play matches" and lists no mode restriction, and neither does the wiki. If the Path to Doomsday mode is more fun for you than another night of quick play, watch the Match XP bar after your first game there to see whether it moved.

Make the grind less repetitive. Ember farming is exactly the kind of long stretch where letting something else pick your hero keeps it interesting. Update, October 21: what the official October 15 patch notes add. The Version 20261015 patch notes on marvelrivals.com confirm the event window (October 15, 2026, 09:00 UTC to November 13, 2026, 09:00 UTC) and that completing event missions earns Rocket Raccoon's Trash King costume for free, with Scarlet Witch's Chaos Weaver and Hela's The Redeemed among the premium rewards.

The same notes add a Halloween refresh of Pop & Win: Invisible Woman's Unseen Weaver, Deadpool's Nurse-Pool and Mister Fantastic's Mr. Malignance, available from October 16, 2026, 02:00 UTC to November 13, 2026, 02:00 UTC. That trio runs a Cross-Pool Promo: popping a balloon at full price for one costume makes the balloon in the same position in the other two pools 50% off.

Two new store items arrived on October 16 at 02:00 UTC as well: a Chaos Weaver chroma for Scarlet Witch (Azure Augury/Scarlet Spinner) and an Unseen Weaver chroma for Invisible Woman (Ruby Rite/Gilded Gaze), each with Ultimate Ability VFX. The event pass and the Pop & Win refresh both end on November 13, the same day Season 10 ends; the patch notes give the two chromas a start time but no end date. None of the official text posts listed on marvelrivals.com on October 21 announces Halloween content beyond November 13. We track each weekly patch on marvel rivals patch notes.

Frequently asked questions

When does the Marvel Rivals Halloween event end?

All Hallows' Glow ends on November 13, 2026, with the wiki's countdown set to 09:00 UTC. That is the same day Season 10 ends. If you buy the Premium tier, the event stays available to you until all rewards are claimed, so the deadline mainly matters for free players.

How much does All Hallows' Glow Premium cost?

990 Lattice. It unlocks every reward, including the Chaos Weaver and The Redeemed costumes. For comparison, last year's Halloween event, Voyage to Astonish, had a 690 Lattice Premium tier.

What are Ghost Embers and Witch Embers?

They are the two event currencies. Every 2,000 XP from matches gives you one of each. Ghost Embers light lanterns on the free track; Witch Embers light lanterns on the Premium track. Each lit lantern grants a random reward from that track's prize pool, with equal odds for every item and no duplicates within a round.

Is there a free Halloween costume in 2026?

Yes. Rocket Raccoon's Epic Trash King costume is listed on the wiki as an Event Free Reward in All Hallows' Glow. The Hela and Scarlet Witch costumes require Premium.

Can I still get Jeff O'Lantern?

Not as of this writing. Jeff O'Lantern was a limited-time store bundle sold from October 24 to November 21, 2025, at 2,200 Units for the full bundle. The wiki records no return date, so check the in-game store rather than relying on any rumour.

Is there a Halloween game mode this year?

The wiki does not list one. Last year's Halloween came with the Marvel Zombies PvE mode. This year, the limited-time modes in Season 10.5 are the Path to Doomsday modes themed on the Avengers films, not Halloween.

How many Ghost Embers does the Trash King costume take?

Between 8 and 14. The free pool has two rounds of 7 items, Trash King is in Round 2, and Round 2 only opens once Round 1 is fully drawn. At 2,000 XP per ember, that is 16,000 to 28,000 match XP, unless you buy embers with Lattice.
