Invisible Woman Marvel Rivals Guide: Sue Storm, the Stealth Healer

Sukie GaoBy Sukie GaoUpdated

Is Invisible Woman a healer? Yes. In Invisible Woman Marvel Rivals play she is a Strategist, the game's support role, and four of her abilities heal, and her shield also protects. Her basic attack heals teammates it passes through, her shield heals the people standing near it, her passive heals her while she is invisible, and her ultimate is a large healing field that also hides everyone inside it.

What separates her from a pure pocket healer is how much of her kit is control. Psionic Vortex pulls enemies in, Force Physics pushes or pulls them, the vortex also drags fliers out of the air, and her shield slows anyone who walks through it. She heals well, but she also decides where the enemy can stand.

This guide covers Sue Storm in the comics and in the game, the season she arrived in, every ability with the numbers from the Marvel Rivals Wiki's current ability table (read October 30, 2026), the balance history behind those numbers, her two live team-ups and the two partner team-ups she powers, and her full costume list. The last section is our opinion as the site's editors on how to play her and who she suits, and it is labelled that way.

Sue Storm, From Fantastic Four #1 to the Season 1 Roster

Susan "Sue" Storm-Richards is one of the four founding members of the Fantastic Four. The wiki's trivia section dates her first appearance to *Fantastic Four* (1961) #1, published November 1961, and notes that she was called the "Invisible Girl" during her early years on the team. It also records that Jack Kirby named her after his own daughter, Susan.

Her family is the Fantastic Four's family. The wiki's infobox lists her brother Johnny Storm, her husband Reed Richards, and her children Franklin and Valeria Richards. It gives Long Island, New York as her birthplace and lists her powers as force field projection, invisibility and psionic energy. Her affiliations are the Fantastic Four and the Future Foundation. The wiki's personality section describes her as the team's emotional core and moral compass, protective of Reed, Johnny and her children, with a sisterly bond with Ben Grimm.

In the game she arrived with her husband. The wiki calls her the 35th hero added to the roster, released in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which ran from January 10, 2025 to April 11, 2025. She and Mister Fantastic were the Season 1.0 heroes, launching on January 10, 2025, while The Thing and Human Torch followed in Season 1.5 on February 21, 2025. The Season 1 story put the Fantastic Four against Dracula and Doctor Doom in a New York plunged into eternal night, so the whole family debuted together inside one storyline.

A few in-game facts from her wiki infobox are worth knowing before you pick her:

- Role: Strategist - Health: 275 - Difficulty: 4 of 5 stars (our roster tools map that to Hard) - English voice: Suzie Yeung, who the wiki notes also voices H.E.R.B.I.E. on the Midtown map

Her infobox caption line, "I'm not the type who fades quietly into the background," is a fair summary of the design. You can find her alongside the rest of the support pool on marvel rivals characters list, and marvel rivals roles explained covers what the Strategist role is expected to do.

Her Kit in Numbers: Every Ability From the Current Wiki Table

These values are copied from the wiki's ability template for her (Template:Abilities/Invisible Woman), read October 30, 2026. PC keys are shown; the wiki also lists PS5 and Xbox bindings.

| Ability | Key | What it does | Key numbers | |---|---|---|---| | Orb Projection | Left click | Piercing orb flies out, then returns to her | Damage 30 out / 15 back; healing 50 out / 40 back; 10 ammo; 0.5s interval; 35m range; 150m/s; no critical hits | | Guardian Shield | Right click | Shield in front of a chosen ally that heals nearby allies and slows enemies who cross it | 200 shield health; heals allies 50/s and herself 20/s in a 3m radius; 34/s shield recovery; 35% slow for 3s; 6s cooldown if destroyed | | Psionic Vortex | Shift | Projectile that erupts into a pulling vortex | 35 damage/s; 5m radius; 4s duration; 80m/s projectile; 0% to 50% slow by distance to centre; 12s cooldown | | Force Physics | E | Push or pull enemies in front of her | 50 damage; push 10m, pull 7m; damaging range 1.5m radius by 35m long; 10s cooldown | | Agile Strike | V | Three-hit melee combo, third hit launches enemies up | No numbers listed | | Veiled Step | Space | Double jump off a force field into invisibility | 6s cooldown; damage in the first 1s of stealth does not end it | | Covert Advance | Passive | Turns invisible after leaving combat, heals over time | 30 healing/s | | Invisible Boundary | Q (ultimate) | Field that hides allies inside and heals them | 4,300 energy; 200 healing/s; 8s; 10m radius, 40m tall cylinder; 55% slow for 1s on enemies passing through; 20% slow on enemies inside |

A few interactions from the wiki's strengths list explain why the table undersells her. Orb Projection pierces and affects every hero in its path, so one shot can heal several allies and hit several enemies, and the return trip heals and damages again. It also has no damage falloff, and she can reload without breaking invisibility. Guardian Shield stays up until it is destroyed or reclaimed. Pressing reclaim when no shield is out places it in front of her, and reclaiming does not break invisibility either. The wiki adds that allies behind the shield count as out of the enemy's line of sight, so tracking abilities such as Scarlet Witch's Chaos Control and Star-Lord's Galactic Barrage will not target them.

Psionic Vortex can be detonated early by pressing Shift again, and a flier caught in it falls and cannot fly upward until leaving its radius. Invisible Boundary's prose entry on the wiki adds that enemies passing through the field become invisible to their own teammates outside it, leaving only brief afterimages. It names Star-Lord's Galactic Barrage and Hawkeye's Hunter's Sight as ultimates the field blunts. The same section is honest about the costs: allies inside the boundary can still be damaged, and any damage breaks her invisibility outside the first second of Veiled Step.

How the Numbers Got Here, and Where the Wiki Disagrees With Itself

Her wiki page is not perfectly consistent, and if you read it yourself you will hit the same snags we did. The prose overview says Guardian Shield has 250 health and slows enemies by about 25% in one line and 30% in another. The ability table says 200 health and a 35% slow. Her Balance Changes page settles both: the slow went from 30% to 35% in Season 4 (September 12, 2025), and shield health fell from 250 to 200 in Season 6 (January 16, 2026). The overview simply predates those patches, so this page uses the table.

Her history in short, from the wiki's Balance Changes page (newest first):

1. Season 10 (September 11, 2026): Orb Projection healing on return cut from 45 to 40. Veiled Step buffed so damage in the first 1 second of stealth no longer breaks invisibility. The official Version 20260911 balance post confirms both lines, and its global section also cut every Strategist's healing-to-energy conversion from 70% to 65% and damage-to-energy conversion from 55% to 50%. The later Version 20261009 post changed none of her own abilities, only The Thing's team-up with her. 2. Balance patch (July 11, 2026): return healing 40 to 45, Guardian Shield self-healing 15/s to 20/s, Invisible Boundary healing 180/s to 200/s and cost 4,500 to 4,300, and First Family base healing 15/s to 25/s. 3. Season 9 (July 10, 2026): launch healing 45 to 50, return healing 35 to 40, her old Team-Up Anchor healing bonus removed, and her two current team-ups introduced. 4. Season 8 (May 15, 2026): Force Physics push distance 12m to 10m and damage 55 to 50. 5. Season 7 (March 20, 2026): Guardian Shield self-healing 25/s to 15/s; Covert Advance healing 20/s to 30/s. 6. Season 6 (January 16, 2026): the shield cut above, plus regeneration 42/s to 34/s and self-healing 50/s to 25/s. 7. Earlier: Orb Projection's range went from 30m to 35m and its speed from 120m/s to 150m/s in Season 5 (November 14, 2025). Her ultimate cost moved from 4,000 to 4,300 in Season 1.5, up to 4,500 in Season 5.5, and back to 4,300 in July 2026.

The pattern is clear even without any win-rate data, which no source publishes. Her self-healing from the shield has been cut from 50/s to a low of 15/s and partly restored. Her passive and her orbs, meanwhile, have mostly gone up. The designers have steadily moved her sustain away from standing next to her own shield and toward staying hidden and hitting orbs.

Team-Ups: Two of Her Own, Two She Powers for Teammates

Since the Season 9.0 overhaul, the wiki's Team-Ups page explains, every hero carries two Team-Up loadouts tied to specific partners. The Base Effect works whenever the loadout is selected; the Enhanced Effect only switches on if that partner is on your team. Her wiki page lists two active loadouts for her and two partner abilities she enhances, all introduced in Season 9.0.

United Siblings (with Human Torch), on right click. Her Guardian Shield becomes a Flame Shield placed on a targeted ally. It blocks damage, heals everyone nearby, slows enemies passing through, and gives a 20% damage boost to teammates' projectiles fired through it. Shield health is 300 base and 400 enhanced, with a larger radius when Johnny is on the team.

First Family (with Mister Fantastic), on C. She and nearby allies turn invisible and gain healing and a speed boost until they take damage or the duration ends; leaving combat for a while puts them back into invisibility. Numbers:

- Cooldown 20s, healing 25/s - Speed boost 1.2m/s base, 1.8m/s enhanced - Duration 4s base, 6s enhanced

The wiki flags an undocumented detail here: despite the description, the healing is not increased when the team-up is enhanced.

As a partner, she powers two other heroes' loadouts. For The Thing, Unbreakable Forces gives him Psionic Armor, bonus health that scales with his missing health. With her on the team, the armor pulses area healing to allies each time he takes a set amount of damage. The official Version 20261009 balance post cut its cooldown from 20s to 15s and lowered that healing threshold from 150 to 125 damage. For Doctor Strange, Psionic Vortex turns his Maelstrom of Madness into a vortex that launches caught enemies toward him and raises his Shield of the Seraphim value. With her present, the damage it deals also gives him bonus health in proportion.

Older team-ups you may still see quoted, such as Fantasti-Force with Mister Fantastic, belong to the pre-Season 9 system. Her Balance Changes page marks Fantasti-Force as removed in Season 6.5.

Costumes, Recolors and Chromas

Her costume template on the wiki lists 11 costumes including the default, plus 3 recolors and 14 chroma variants. Where the wiki names an acquisition route we give it; where it leaves the field blank we leave it blank rather than guess. The wiki lists no prices.

| Costume | Rarity | Where the wiki says it came from | |---|---|---| | Azure Shade | Legendary | Limited Time | | Baxter Building Beauty | Legendary | Van Dyne Couture (Premium) | | Disappearing Dessert | Legendary | Jeff's Break Time (Premium) | | Prism Parade | Legendary | Season 6 BattlePass, Museum Ticket (Premium) | | Riann Landau: The Debater | Legendary | Limited Time | | The Life Fantastic | Legendary | Not stated | | Unseen Weaver | Legendary | Pop & Win Vol.6 | | Future Foundation | Epic | Not stated | | Malice | Epic | Not stated | | The Fantastic Four: First Steps | Epic | Not stated | | Default | Default | Base hero |

The three recolors are all Rare: Blood Shield (labelled Season 1 Ranked), First Family, and Will of Galacta (Twitch Drops). The chromas are two each for Azure Shade (Lush Luminance, Tangerine Tint), Baxter Building Beauty (Classic Contrast, Pretty in Pink), Disappearing Dessert (Alluring Apple, Mango Magic), Prism Parade (Radiant Ray, Vivid Vibe), Riann Landau: The Debater (Pine Opposition, Royal Blue Rebuttal), Unseen Weaver (Gilded Gaze, Ruby Rite) and Malice (Dune Daisy, Midnight Majesty).

Riann Landau also turns up in her gallery: the wiki's gallery-card list includes "Homecoming," showing her as Riann Landau, alongside the Fantastic Four card "At Your Service" and "All Systems Go" with Psylocke, Luna Snow and Venom. Two achievements are tied to her: Lady of the House (assist Fantastic Four members 10 times, 10 points) and Daughters of Liberty (land 1 KO partnered with Black Widow, 5 points).

How We Would Play Her, and Who She Suits (Editors' Opinion)

*Everything in this section is our opinion as the site's editors, reasoned from the sourced kit above. It is not measured performance data; no source publishes that.*

Play the orb's return, not just its launch. Orb Projection heals 50 going out and 40 coming back, and it pierces both ways. In our view the strongest habit is angling shots so the return path crosses the allies who need it most. With only 10 ammo and a 35m limit, she works best at mid range behind the front line, not at the back of spawn.

Treat invisibility as your health bar. Outside Guardian Shield's 20/s self-heal, her sustain comes from Covert Advance (30/s while hidden), and any damage breaks it. Veiled Step on a 6-second cooldown, with its new one-second grace window, is the button we would save for getting out rather than spend on getting in. The fact that orbs and shield recalls do not break stealth means you can keep supporting while hidden.

Use the shield to block lines, not just HP. At 200 health it will not soak a burst for long, but it blocks line-of-sight targeting and slows anyone crossing it by 35%. We would place it where a diver has to walk through it, or between a teammate and a tracking ultimate.

Hold Invisible Boundary for answers. A 4,300-cost, 8-second field healing 200/s is a strong teamfight heal on its own. The wiki says it stops Star-Lord's Galactic Barrage auto-targeting from outside and keeps Hawkeye's Hunter's Sight afterimages of his targets from appearing inside it, so we would save it for those moments when they come.

Who she suits: in our opinion, players who like controlling space more than chasing kills, and who already have decent awareness. The wiki rates her 4 of 5 for difficulty, and we agree she is not a first support for someone new to shooters. If you want an easier start, marvel rivals best heroes for beginners has gentler options. If you already play mid-range healers and want more control, she is a natural next step.

Synergy and matchups, only as far as sources go. Her enhanced team-ups point to Human Torch and Mister Fantastic, and her partner loadouts to The Thing and Doctor Strange, so a Fantastic Four-heavy team gets the most from her. The wiki names Star-Lord's and Hawkeye's ultimates as things her Boundary answers and fliers as targets her vortex grounds. The weaknesses it lists are limited self-sustain outside her ultimate, invisibility that any damage breaks, and a primary fire with relatively low range that makes her reliant on positioning. For broader matchup thinking see marvel rivals hero counters, and for her support tier as community consensus, marvel rivals strategist tier list.

Frequently asked questions

Is Invisible Woman a healer in Marvel Rivals?

Yes. She is a Strategist, the support role. Orb Projection heals allies it passes through, Guardian Shield heals allies near it, Covert Advance heals her while invisible, and Invisible Boundary heals allies inside it at 200 per second.

Who is Invisible Woman?

Susan "Sue" Storm-Richards, a founding member of the Fantastic Four, sister of Johnny Storm and wife of Reed Richards. Per the wiki she first appeared in Fantastic Four #1 in November 1961 and was first known as the Invisible Girl.

When was Invisible Woman added to Marvel Rivals?

In Season 1.0 of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which began on January 10, 2025. The wiki lists her as the 35th hero, released together with Mister Fantastic.

How much health does Invisible Woman have?

275, according to her wiki infobox. The infobox lists no extra shield layer, and the wiki's weaknesses list notes that, outside her ultimate, she can only heal herself while invisible or through Guardian Shield.

What is Invisible Woman's ultimate?

Invisible Boundary. It costs 4,300 energy and creates a 10m-radius, 40m-tall field for 8 seconds. Allies inside are hidden from enemies outside and heal 200 per second. Enemies passing through are slowed 55% for 1 second, and enemies inside are slowed 20%.

How much health does Guardian Shield have?

200, per the current ability table. The wiki's overview text still says 250, but her Balance Changes page shows it was reduced from 250 to 200 in Season 6 on January 16, 2026.

How long until her passive makes her invisible?

The ability table does not give a number, but the wiki's strengths section says Covert Advance turns her invisible automatically if she "hasn't attacked or damaged for 5.5 seconds." While hidden she heals 30 per second.

What are Invisible Woman's team-ups?

Her own loadouts are United Siblings with Human Torch and First Family with Mister Fantastic. She is also the partner who enhances The Thing's Unbreakable Forces and Doctor Strange's Psionic Vortex. All four arrived with the Season 9.0 team-up overhaul.

Did Invisible Woman change in Season 10?

Yes. The official Version 20260911 balance post reduced Orb Projection healing on return from 45 to 40. It also changed Veiled Step so that damage in the first 1 second of stealth no longer breaks invisibility.

Who voices Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals?

Suzie Yeung in English, per the wiki, which also credits Gui Niang for Chinese and Yui Kondō for Japanese.

Is Invisible Woman good for beginners?

In our editors' opinion, she is better as a second or third support than a first one. The wiki rates her 4 of 5 for difficulty, and her healing depends on positioning and on managing invisibility, which breaks whenever she takes damage.
